Overview
Automatically prepares, validates and submits VAT, withholding-SGK, stamp duty, provisional, income and corporate tax returns to GİB from your accounting records.
Who it is for: offices and companies using the MEGA accounting ecosystem (MegaMaster2 / company databases). It does not read directly from Logo, Luca, Zirve or other accounting programs.
Supported returns
Six return types
- VAT: VAT 1 and VAT 2 returns.
- Withholding and Social Security Premium Service return (MUHSGK).
- Stamp Duty return.
- Provisional Tax: for both income-tax and corporate-tax payers.
- Annual Income Tax return.
- Annual Corporate Tax return.
Each type is prepared with a step-by-step wizard, and every step header shows whether it has been filled in.
Filling from accounting
- The return form is derived read-only from your accounting journal entries; nothing is written back to your records.
- VAT 1: calculated and deductible VAT, withholding, exemptions, export-registered deliveries and special-base transactions.
- Withholding return: withholding tax deductions and suggested gross amounts.
- Provisional, Corporate and Income Tax: commercial profit or loss from the income statement accounts.
- VAT 2 and Stamp Duty: from the withholding and stamp duty accounts.
- Fields that cannot be derived or remain ambiguous are never invented; they appear as warnings and are entered by hand.
- Rows you change by hand are marked with a badge, and each derived row can be traced to its voucher number.
Account mapping and settings
- Each return type has its own mapping tab; taxpayer details, the GİB connection and the returns to be filed are managed in separate tabs.
- Mapping is done by account-code prefix; you can search and pick accounts from the chart of accounts and see how many accounts your prefix covers.
- A mapping can be copied from another company; the sample mapping only loads columns such as rates and roles, so you enter the account codes yourself.
- The income tax schedule comes ready-made for 2023–2026 (income and wage schedules), is shown with its source citation and can be edited.
- If the account mapping is incomplete, derivation does not stay silent; it warns you.
Validation
- Before submission, a return is checked against the schema (XSD), code lists and business rules published by GİB.
- For VAT 1, rules known to break submissions in the field are checked, such as the equal-amount requirement between annexes and exemptions; production is blocked when errors exist.
- The return version for the period is selected automatically, taking differences between old and new period code sets into account.
- Where fields remain ambiguous, submission is blocked until the responsibility confirmation is ticked.
Submission to GİB: two systems
Two declaration systems run side by side at GİB, and MegaBeyan supports both:
- e-Beyan (new system): the VAT 1 return is created directly as a draft through GİB's web service, its annexes are written and checked; status queries, messages, approval, return and accrual PDFs and deleting the draft at GİB are available from the wizard's action bar. For VAT 2 and Stamp Duty, the return is started at GİB.
- e-Beyanname (old system): Withholding, Provisional Tax, Annual Income and Annual Corporate returns are produced as a package that follows GİB's XML schema; you download the ZIP file and upload it to the e-Beyanname portal.
Changes made at GİB do not flow back into the program; the page carries a permanent notice about manual corrections made on the GİB screen.
List, notifications and environments
- Return list: search, grouping, sorting, filters, Excel and PDF; status Prepared → Submitted → Approved or Rejected / Cancelled; invalid status transitions are blocked and irreversible actions ask for confirmation.
- Notification bell: alerts you when a return is prepared and when its status changes.
- Environment matrix: for each company and return type you choose separately whether submission goes to the test, pilot or live environment; in one installation one taxpayer can submit to test while another submits to live. Rows routed to live are marked red.
- Invoice-type prefixes: invoice types such as e-Invoice / e-Archive are bulk-filled from the prefix of the document number; rows that do not match are never guessed.
- Turkish and English interface, dark and light theme.
Security and data
- Your accounting data is only read; preparing a return never changes your records.
- Sign-in uses your existing MEGA user credentials, followed by company selection.
- The GİB access token is stored encrypted, never shown back in the browser and never written to logs; leaving the field empty keeps the stored token.
- Prepared returns and notifications are stored in your own company database.
- The session cookie is marked secure; a health endpoint (
/healthz) for monitoring. - For the GİB e-Beyan connection, an approved application in GİB's Integrator Portal and a registered IP address are prerequisites.
